AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF THE COMMERCIAL AND PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the Departments of Economic and Community Development, 1 Consumer Protection and Transportation jointly study the potential 2 commercial and practical applications and consequences of artificial 3 intelligence, including, but not limited to, foreseeable human 4 workforce displacement and issue a report with recommendations on 5 possible regulatory frameworks related to artificial intelligence to the 6 joint standing committees having cognizance of matters relating to 7 commerce, consumer protection and labor not later than February 1, 8 2020. 9 Statement of Purpose: To prepare for the modernization of Connecticut's economy through artificial intelligence.
