AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE USE OF SCHOOL SECURITY
INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT FUNDS FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF
ARMED SECURITY OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to authorize a local 1
or regional board of education to use school security infrastructure 2
competitive grant program funds for the purpose of employing school 3
security officers who will be in possession of a firearm while on duty. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow school districts to use school security infrastructure
competitive grant program funds to employ armed school security
officers.
