AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY ISSUES
RELATING TO SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a task force to 1
study the use and presence of school security officers in public 2
elementary, middle and high schools and to make recommendations 3
concerning whether school security officers should be authorized to 4
carry a firearm while on duty and who should be responsible for 5
conducting criminal history records checks of and supervising school 6
security officers. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a task force to study issues relating to school security
officers.
