AN ACT CONCERNING POLYSTYRENE FOAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the distribution, 1
sale or offering for sale of polystyrene foam products to be used with 2
food for human consumption. Additionally, to prohibit schools from 3
using polystyrene foam plates, trays, or food containers or packaging 4
in student meal service. Finally, such provision would prohibit 5
restaurants from using polystyrene foam for both take-out products 6
and serving of products. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of polystyrene products.
