AN ACT REQUIRING THE REVIEW OF WIRELESS AND WIRELINE
TELECOMMUNICATION CARRIER EXPENSES FOR STATE
AGENCIES AND CONCERNING A WIRELESS SERVICE PROVIDER
OPTIMIZATION CONTRACT AND CELLULAR TOWER TAX
COMPLIANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Administrative Services to review wireless and wireline 2
telecommunication carrier expenses for state agencies and develop a 3
wireless service provider optimization contract for state agencies and 4
any municipality that chooses to participate and to require the 5
Department of Revenue Services to enforce cellular tower tax 6
compliance. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Administrative Services to review
wireless and wireline telecommunication carrier expenses for state
agencies and develop a wireless service provider optimization contract
and to require the Department of Revenue Services to enforce cellular
tower tax compliance.
