AN ACT CONCERNING UNION STEWARDS AND COMPENSATION
FROM THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit collective 1
bargaining agreements that result in a state employee receiving 2
compensation from the state during the period of time that such state 3
employee is performing in his or her capacity as a union steward 4
conducting union-related business. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of state funds to compensate union stewards for
work performed on state time.
