AN ACT ALLOWING EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS TO ADMINISTER EPINEPHRINE WITHOUT THE USE OF AUTOMATIC PREFILLED CARTRIDGE INJECTORS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 19a-197a of the general statutes be amended to (1) 1 allow emergency medical technicians to be trained in the 2 administration of epinephrine without the use of automatic prefilled 3 cartridge injectors, and (2) allow ambulances to be equipped with 4 epinephrine without automatic prefilled cartridge injectors. 5 Statement of Purpose: To reduce municipal costs for emergency medical services by allowing the administration of epinephrine without automatic prefilled cartridge injectors.
