AN ACT CONCERNING THE TITLE OF SOCIAL WORKER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 383b of the general statutes be amended to authorize a 1
fine of not more than two hundred fifty dollars, a cease and desist 2
order, or both, for persons who use the title of "social worker" without 3
obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree from an education program 4
accredited by the Council on Social Work Education or a doctorate in 5
social work. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent unqualified persons from using the title of "social worker".
