AN ACT CONCERNING MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTORS AS PEACE
OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 53a-3 of the general statutes be amended to redefine 1
"peace officer" to include a motor vehicle inspector, designated under 2
section 14-8 of the general statutes and certified pursuant to sections 7-3
294a to 7-294e, inclusive, of the general statutes. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To redefine "peace officer" to include a motor vehicle inspector who is
certified as a police officer.
