AN ACT ESTABLISHING A GRANT-IN-AID PROGRAM FOR 
MUNICIPALITIES COMBATING GYPSY MOTH AND EMERALD ASH 
BORER INFESTATIONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to establish a grant program 1 
for municipalities that incur costs associated with tree removal due to 2 
infestations of gypsy moths and emerald ash borers. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To mitigate costs for municipalities that have to conduct tree removal 
due to insect infestations.
