AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF DISPOSABLE SINGLE -USE
PLASTIC BAGS AND PROMOTING THE USE OF REUSABLE BAGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of single-1
use plastic bags at retail establishments and promote the use of 2
reusable bags. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce pollution from single-use plastic bags and shift consumer
behavior toward the use of reusable bags.
