AN ACT REQUIRING THE LICENSING OF COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGERS AND PROPERTY MANAGERS OF PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 400b of the general statutes be amended to require: (1) 1 Licensure of any community association manager, (2) licensure of the 2 property manager of a planned unit development, (3) that such 3 managers meet nationally established licensing standards, and (4) that 4 such managers provide all financial information related to the 5 association or planned unit development, including an accounting of 6 expenses, revenues, invoices, insurance payouts, reserve funds, bank 7 balances, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, delinquencies and 8 any other material financial information to a condominium owner, 9 condominium board member, planned unit development owner or 10 planned unit development association board member who requests 11 such information not later than thirty days following the date of the 12 request. 13 Statement of Purpose: To protect the owners of condominiums and planned unit developments from being taken advantage of by community Proposed Bill No. 6465 LCO No. 3108 2 of 2 association managers and property managers through financial malfeasance, negligence or incompetence and to require such managers to be licensed and meet established national licensing standards.
