AN ACT CONCERNING BALLOT ACCESS AND FINANCIAL
DISCLOSURE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the 1
name of any candidate for any federal office listed on the ballot shall 2
not appear on such ballot unless such candidate files financial 3
disclosure statements with the Secretary of the State prior to the day on 4
which any primary for nominating such candidate to such federal 5
office is or would be held. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require federal candidates to file financial disclosure statements by
a certain deadline in order to gain ballot access.
