AN ACT CONCERNING PRIMARIES FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
HELD IN NOVEMBER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require, for any 1
town that holds its municipal election in November, that the primary 2
be held on the second Tuesday in August in such year. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To move, for any town that holds its municipal election in November,
the primary day from September to August so as not to interfere with
any school session.
