AN ACT CONCERNING THE APPROVAL OF NOMINATIONS TO THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT AND
THE BOARD OF REGENTS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 4-9c of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
any nomination to the Board of Trustees of The University of 2
Connecticut and the Board of Regents for Higher Education receive the 3
approval of the joint standing committee of the General Assembly 4
having cognizance of matters relating to higher education. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require that all nominations to the Board of Trustees of The
University of Connecticut and the Board of Regents for Higher
Education receive the approval of the joint standing committee of the
General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher
education.
