AN ACT ENSURING THAT THE PRIVACY OF MINOR CHILDREN IS
PROTECTED IN COURT DOCUMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 870 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Chief Court Administrator to establish and implement measures to 2
ensure that personally identifiable information relating to a minor 3
child that is contained in a document filed with the court is protected 4
from public access and that such information is not revealed in any 5
written decision of the court. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that the privacy of minor children is protected in court
documents.
