AN ACT CONCERNING THE FILING OF A CUSTODY EVALUATION IN
A FAMILY RELATIONS MATTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 46b-7 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
that when the court orders a custody evaluation in a family relations 2
matter (1) such evaluation shall be completed and a report filed with 3
the court, not later than ninety days after the date on which the 4
evaluation was ordered, and (2) a copy of the report relating to such 5
evaluation shall be provided to counsel, the parties and any self-6
represented parties of record. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that the parties to a family relations matter have expeditious
access to a report relating to custody evaluation.
