AN ACT REPEALING THE "RAISE THE AGE" LAW.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 815t of the general statutes be amended to repeal the 1
changes made by provisions of public act 07-4 of the June special 2
session that raised the age of the jurisdiction of the juvenile justice 3
system from children under sixteen years of age to children under 4
eighteen years of age. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To repeal the "Raise the Age" law in order to address increasing levels
of juvenile crime.
