AN ACT PROTECTING MINORS FROM CYBER EXPLOITATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to establish a class 1
B felony offense for any person guilty of commercial sexual abuse of a 2
minor when such person pays a fee to the minor or a third person as 3
compensation for the minor having engaged in sexual conduct for or 4
with such person, including online or Internet-based sexual conduct. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To include online or Internet-based sexual conduct, sexual acts or
sexual performance by a minor paid for by another person, whether or
not either party is in the physical presence of the other and regardless
of physical contact as a form of commercial sexual abuse of a minor.
