AN ACT ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR VETERINARIANS REGARDING THE DISCUSSION OF CERTAIN SUBSTANCES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 21a-408n of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1 the arrest, prosecution or penalizing of a veterinarian in any manner or 2 denying any right or privilege to a veterinarian, including, but not 3 limited to, subjecting a veterinarian to any disciplinary action by the 4 Connecticut Veterinary Medical Examining Board or any other 5 professional licensing board, for discussing the use of cannabis type 6 substances, as defined in section 21a-240 of the general statutes or 7 marijuana, as defined in section 21a-240 of the general statutes. 8 Statement of Purpose: To establish certain guidelines for veterinarians with regard to the discussion of certain substances.
