AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE, VIA INTERNET AUCTION, OF
LICENSE PLATES ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR
VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner 1
of Motor Vehicles to establish and administer an online number plate 2
auction program where number plates issued by the commissioner are 3
publicly auctioned and transferred to the highest bidder and where 4
each transaction costs fifty dollars or fifteen per cent of an accepted 5
bid, whichever is greater, and such amount is deposited in the Special 6
Transportation Fund. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To establish an online number plate auction program.
