AN ACT CONCERNING HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND
MAINTENANCE DURING HOLIDAYS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of 1
Transportation from undergoing construction or performing 2
maintenance work on any interstate highway the day preceding and 3
the day following state and federal holidays, except in the case of an 4
emergency as declared by the Commissioner of Transportation. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To improve highway congestion during state and federal holidays.
