AN ACT PROHIBITING THE ISSUANCE OF PARKING CITATIONS BY
PRIVATE COMMERCIAL P ROPERTY OWNERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subsection (d) of section 14-145 of the general statutes is 1
repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from 2
passage): 3
(d) No owner or lessee of private commercial property, or his or her 4
agent, shall issue a parking citation by written warning, posted signage 5
or other means to impose a monetary sanction on an owner of a motor 6
vehicle parked on such property. 7
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 from passage 14-145(d)
Statement of Purpose:
To limit the prohibition on issuing parking citations to the owner or
lessee of private commercial property.
