AN ACT CONCERNING TH E ISSUANCE OF PARKING CITATIONS BY
INDEPENDENT INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND
PRIVATE SECONDARY SC HOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subsection (d) of section 14-145 of the general statutes is 1
repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from 2
passage): 3
(d) No owner or lessee of private property, or his or her agent, shall 4
issue a parking citation by written warning, posted signage or other 5
means to impose a monetary sanction on an owner of a motor vehicle 6
parked on such property. The provisions of this subsection shall not 7
apply to an independent institution of higher education, as defined in 8
subsection (a) of section 10a-173, or a private secondary school. 9
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
