AN ACT PROHIBITING CERTAIN OVERDRAFT FEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 36a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit banks 1
and credit unions from charging overdraft fees to customers who, on 2
the same day the overdraft occurred, make a deposit in or transfer to 3
the overdrawn account. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit overdraft fees when a deposit or transfer is made to the
overdrawn account on the same day the overdraft occurred.
