AN ACT ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT THAT SCHOOL
TRANSPORTATION SERVICES BE PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN
ATTENDING NONPUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-281 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate 1
the requirement that a municipality or school district provide the same 2
kind of transportation services for children attending nonpublic, 3
nonprofit schools within the town or school district. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the requirement that towns and school districts provide
school transportation services to children attending private or
parochial schools.
