AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO ANALYZE AND STUDY 
ISSUES RELATING TO PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT WITH STUDENTS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to establish a task force, 1 
consisting of legislators, teachers, administrators, parents, students 2 
and community members, to analyze methods for improving parental 3 
involvement with students and to study the feasibility of establishing 4 
parent academies that address issues relating to college planning and 5 
career training for students in middle school and high school, and 6 
methods for fostering communication between parents and schools 7 
and surrounding communities. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To establish a task force to analyze and study issues relating to 
parental involvement with students.
