AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY REGARDING SOLAR ELECTRICAL 
CONTRACTOR AND JOURN EYMAN LICENSES.  
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Commissioner of Consumer 1 
Protection, after consulting with the Labor Commissioner, shall study 2 
existing solar electrical contractor and journeyman licenses and any 3 
associated regulations adopted pursuant to title 20 of the general 4 
statutes, regarding the installation of commercial and residential solar 5 
electrical systems. 6 
(b) Not later than January 1, 2020, the Commissioner of Consumer 7 
Protection shall report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general 8 
statutes, the results and any findings of the study completed pursuant 9 
to subsection (a) of this section to the joint standing committees of the 10 
General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to consumer 11 
protection and labor. 12 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:
