AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT VIOLATIONS DURING THE PREQUALIFICATION PROCESS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 4a-100 of the general statutes be amended to require 1 any contractor or substantial subcontractor applying to the 2 Department of Administrative Services for prequalification for work 3 on state or municipal public works contracts disclose on the 4 prequalification application whether the contractor or substantial 5 subcontractor has been cited for any violation of the Occupational 6 Safety and Health Act of 1970, 29 USC 651 et. seq., or any standard, 7 order or regulation promulgated pursuant to it. 8 Statement of Purpose: To require contractors and substantial subcontractors seeking prequalification from the Department of Administrative Services to work on state or municipal public works contracts to disclose whether the contractor or substantial subcontractor has been cited for any occupational safety and health violation.
