AN ACT CONCERNING REMOVAL FROM VOTER REGISTRY LISTS
AND THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 9-19i of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
a change in address form submitted for purposes of a motor vehicle 2
operator's license shall not serve as notification of change of address 3
for voter registration for the person unless such person states on the 4
form that the change of address is for voter registration purposes. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit changes in address processed at the Department of Motor
Vehicles from being transmitted to registrars of voters for the purpose
of removing electors from town registry lists.
