AN ACT CONCERNING INTIMIDATION ON ACCOUNT OF OCCUPATION AS A POLICE OFFICER. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That sections 53a-181i to 53a-181l, inclusive, of the general statutes, 1 concerning the crime of intimidation based on bigotry or bias, be 2 amended to make it a violation for a person, with the intent to 3 intimidate or harass another person because of the actual or perceived 4 occupation of such person as a police officer, to assault, threaten or 5 damage the property of such other person. 6 Statement of Purpose: To increase the penalty for intimidating or harassing a police officer.
