AN ACT CONCERNING MILITARY FAMILIES AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to provide that (1) 1
any form used for the purpose of enrolling a student in public 2
elementary or secondary school shall include an opportunity for the 3
parent or legal guardian of such student to identify such student as the 4
child or sibling of any veteran or member of the armed forces, and (2) 5
such school shall use such identification to connect the family of such 6
student with existing resources available for military families. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To connect certain elementary and secondary school students with
available resources for military families.
