AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR LEGAL SERVICES TO ASSIST
OWNERS OF HOMES WITH CRUMBLING CONCRETE
FOUNDATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the sum of five hundred thousand dollars be appropriated to 1
the Department of Consumer Protection, from the General Fund, for 2
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, for providing grants-in-aid to legal 3
aid nonprofits in the state to hire attorneys dedicated to providing free 4
legal assistance to the owners of homes with crumbling concrete 5
foundations. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To assist homeowners with crumbling concrete foundations by
providing them access to free legal services.
