AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR ALLIANCE DISTRICTS THAT 
OFFER EARLY COLLEGE OPPORTUNITIES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to provide funding 1 
to school districts designated as alliance districts, pursuant to section 2 
10-262u of the general statutes, whose alliance district plan includes 3 
early college opportunities for students to earn credits towards an 4 
associate degree while enrolled in high school, and to continue 5 
providing funding for any such student who needs more than four 6 
years to earn an associate degree. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide funding for alliance districts to offer early college 
opportunities to students to pursue careers in major high tech 
industries in the state and to defray the cost of college for low income 
families.
