AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPALITIES' USE OF THE MUNICIPAL
GAIN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 16-233 of the general statutes be amended to specify 1
that any town, city or borough may use a municipal gain to provide 2
broadband Internet access service to the public in such town, city or 3
borough, either directly or through a third-party provider. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To specify that municipalities may use a municipal gain to provide
broadband Internet access service to the public either directly or
through a third-party provider.
