GODFREY, 110 th Dist. AN ACT ALLOWING THE USE OF SELF -SERVE ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR MACHINES BY CERTAIN PERMITTEES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 30 of the general statutes be amended to allow a permittee 1 authorized pursuant to said title to sell alcoholic liquor for on-premises 2 consumption via an automated machine that, upon activation of a 3 payment card by the permittee, may be operated to dispense beer, 4 cider not exceeding six per cent alcohol by volume and wine to the 5 following: (1) An employee of the permittee who is authorized by law 6 to serve alcoholic beverages, or (2) a person whom the permittee has 7 verified to be twenty-one years of age or older who displays a 8 government-issued identification card that matches the name on the 9 payment card. Such verification that a person is twenty-one years of 10 age or older shall be recorded by the permittee or an employee of the 11 permittee. 12 Statement of Purpose: To allow the use of self-serve alcoholic liquor machines on certain permit premises.
