AN ACT CONCERNING SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACTS WITH CONSUMERS IN THIS STATE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to provide that each snow 1 removal contractor entering into a snow removal contract with a 2 consumer in this state shall (1) not include an indemnification clause in 3 such contract, and (2) be liable for any and all damages arising from 4 the presence of any snow or ice on any portion of the consumer's 5 property if such contractor is required to remove such snow or ice 6 pursuant to such contract. 7 Statement of Purpose: To provide that each snow removal contractor entering into a snow removal contract with a consumer in this state shall not include an indemnification clause in such contract, and shall be liable for any and all damages arising from the presence of any snow or ice on any portion of the consumer's property if such contractor is required to remove such snow or ice pursuant to such contract.
