AN ACT CONCERNING THE DIVESTMENT OF STATE FUNDS FROM
COMPANIES THAT HOLD PUERTO RICAN DEBT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 32 of the general statutes be amended to authorize the 1
State Treasurer to divest and decide to not further invest state funds in 2
any company that holds bonds or other debt of the Commonwealth of 3
Puerto Rico. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize the State Treasurer to divest from any companies that
hold the debt of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico due to the ongoing
fiscal and humanitarian crisis on the island.
