AN ACT RESTRICTING THE EMPLOYMENT OF FAMILY MEMBERS IN
THE SAME DEPARTMENT AT PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER
EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (s) of section 1-84 of the general statutes be 1
amended by repealing such subsection to eliminate the allowance for 2
state employees of a constituent unit of the state system of higher 3
education and a member of the immediate family of such state 4
employee to be employed in the same department or division of such 5
constituent unit. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the allowance for family members to be employed in the
same department or division of a public institution of higher
education.
