AN ACT CONCERNING TRAINING FOR MEMBERS OF SCHOOL
GOVERNANCE COUNCILS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Department of Education to provide assistance to local and regional 2
boards of education regarding the training of members of school 3
governance councils, established pursuant to section 10-223j of the 4
general statutes. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To provide better training to members of school governance councils
so that school governance councils can be more effective in engaging
parents and families and improving student achievement.
