AN ACT CONCERNING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE
CARE4KIDS PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-749 of the general statutes be amended to expand 1
the eligibility requirements for the Care4Kids program to include 2
people who are looking for work, training for work, or studying, and 3
to add SNAP Employment and Training as an eligibility category. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To: (1) Make child care more affordable; (2) support more women
reentering the workforce; and (3) allow more individuals seeking work
to be eligible for affordable child care.
