(By Request) AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESSIBLE CROSSWALKS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 14-298 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 Office of the State Traffic Administration to develop regulations 2 requiring crosswalks at high-traffic intersections and an automated 3 traffic control system whereby blind or visually impaired pedestrians 4 receive an audible cue that it is safe to cross. 5 Statement of Purpose: To ensure that high-traffic intersections are safe for blind or visually impaired pedestrians.
