AN ACT CONCERNING ST UDENT ACCESS TO ACADEMIC 
ADVISORS AT THE CONN ECTICUT STATE COLLEG ES AND 
UNIVERSITIES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2019) The Board of Regents for Higher 1 
Education shall conduct a study relating to student access to academic 2 
advisors at institutions within the Connecticut State Colleges and 3 
Universities. The study shall include the ratio of academic advisors to 4 
students at each institution. Not later than January 1, 2020, the board 5 
shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the 6 
general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General 7 
Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to higher education 8 
regarding the findings of such study. 9 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:

regarding student access to academic advisors.
