LCO No. 5501 1 of 2 General Assembly Raised Bill No. 7307 January Session, 2019 LCO No. 5501 Referred to Committee on COMMERCE Introduced by: (CE) AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY ON TOURISM BY THE GENER AL ASSEMBLY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The joint standing committee of the 1 General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to commerce 2 shall conduct a study relating to tourism and its effects and impact on 3 the state and its economy. Not later than February 1, 2020, said 4 committee shall submit a report of the results of such study in 5 accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes. 6 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Statement of Purpose: To require the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters related to commerce to study tourism and its effects and impact on the state and its economy.
