AN ACT CONCERNING TH E CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE
LAND ON PERCIVAL AVE NUE IN THE TOWN OF BERLIN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1
of the general statutes, on or before July 1, 2019, the Commissioner of 2
Transportation shall solicit competitive bids to sell a parcel of land 3
located in the town of Berlin. Said parcel of land is .045 acre and is 4
identified as the parcel of land adjacent to the Kensington 5
Congregational Church located at 312 Percival Avenue in the town of 6
Berlin, and is further identified as the parcel described in Department 7
of Transportation File No. 7-000-65. Notwithstanding any provision of 8
the general statutes, the Department of Transportation shall use an 9
expedited process to sell said parcel to the highest bidder and said sale 10
shall not be subject to the approval of the State Properties Review 11
Board. 12
(b) The parcel shall remain under the care and control of the 13
Department of Transportation until a sale is made in accordance with 14 Raised Bill No. 7420
LCO No. 7169 2 of 2
the provisions of this section. The State Treasurer shall execute and 15
deliver any deed or instrument necessary for said sale. The 16
Commissioner of Transportation shall have the sole responsibility for 17
all other incidents of said sale. 18
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

To require the Commissioner of Transportation to invite bids for the
sale of a parcel of state land in the town of Berlin.
