RESOLUTION PROPOSING A STATE CONSTITUTIONAL
AMENDMENT ALLOWING THE RECALL OF ELECTED OFFICIALS.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That article eleventh of the Constitution of the state be amended to 1
allow an elected official to be recalled from office, and the conduct of a 2
special election for such office, on the certification of electors' 3
signatures upon petitions for such recall in an amount greater than 4
twenty-five per cent of the number of votes cast for such office at the 5
most recent election therefor. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To allow electors to petition for the recall of an elected official.
