AN ACT INCREASING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR
GRANDPARENTS AND OTHER NONPARENT RELATIVES RAISING
NEEDY CHILDREN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-112 of the general statutes be amended to increase 1
the payment standard for grandparents and other nonparent relatives 2
raising needy children who qualify for temporary family assistance. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To ease the financial burden on grandparents and other nonparent
relatives raising needy children and to improve the lives of such
children.
