AN ACT CONCERNING SURPRISE MEDICAL BILLS FOR
LABORATORY SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 38a-477aa of the general statutes be amended to expand 1
the definition of "surprise bill" to include bills for nonemergency health 2
care services rendered by out-of-network clinical laboratories. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the definition of "surprise bill" to include bills for
nonemergency health care services rendered by out-of-network clinical
laboratories.
