AN ACT CONCERNING A LANDLORD'S ABILITY TO REVIEW CRIMINAL RECORDS RELATING TO A PROSPECTIVE TENANT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 8-37u of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 Commissioner of Housing to establish a limited criminal records look-2 back period that a landlord may use when evaluating the housing 3 application of a prospective tenant. 4 Statement of Purpose: To lower barriers to finding adequate housing for individuals with prior criminal convictions.
