AN ACT CONCERNING PRESENTATION OF A CARRY PERMIT UPON 
REQUEST. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That subsection (b) of section 29-35 of the general statutes be 1 
amended to require an individual openly carrying a pistol, revolver or 2 
other firearm to show their permit to a law enforcement official upon 3 
request and that section 54-1l of the general statutes be amended to 4 
provide for a penalty to law enforcement officials who request such 5 
permit on the basis of racial profiling. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require the holder of a permit for the carrying of any pistol, 
revolver or other firearm to cooperate with law enforcement's 
reasonable request to see such permit and to penalize racial profiling 
by law enforcement.
